Volunteers assist by driving clients over the age of 65, and those who are ‘transport disadvantaged’ to medical appointments. Volunteers may also be a group leader for the Social Support lunch groups for clients over the age of 65 (who have been assessed as requiring this service by MyAgedCare). Other services provided by HMSO are Meals On Wheels, Home Maintenance and Respite Care. To be eligible for the above services, you must have been first assessed by MyAgedCare (except for Transport Services, where people under the age of 65 may be eligible due to 'transport disadvantage').
